Duration: 1 hr 20 min
The Sapieha Palace is considered to be a part of the most important surviving examples of late baroque architecture in Lithuania. We invite you to take a stroll through the palace and learn about the decades of research and renovation work, and the history of the hospital and war motifs inscribed within its walls. The decor, works by the baroque masters and evidence of the Sapieha family’s influence are just one period in the building’s history. Meticulous architectural research has also enabled us to reveal the contours of the earlier masonry, and understand the transformation the palace underwent in the 19th century.
