‘Scary and even Scarier: Grotesque in Art’ workshop for families

DURATION: 60 min.

Is it an ox, a devil, or a vine? Take a closer look at the architecture of old buildings. We can see strange, non-existent animals like masks staring at us with empty eyes. During the activity, we will learn why old masters decorated palaces this way and what these creatures mean. We will also explore the aesthetics of the grotesque and create our own grotesque collage using linocut stamps, free lines, and bright colors.

The activities on the given dates are in Lithuanian.
