Art in Motion. Animation Education

DURATION: 50–90 min.

Animation is everywhere, blending imperceptibly into our everyday experiences. Inspired by the movements of people and animals, animation techniques have evolved over time, changing people’s perception of the world in the process. In this educational program, we invite you to explore the various applications of animation. We will analyze works of art depicting movement and experiment with basic animation techniques. All participants will make a thaumatrope, an optical toy invented in the 19th century. Older participants will also experiment with stop-motion animation.

The nature, content, and duration of the program vary by age group.

The activities on the given dates are in Lithuanian.
